How do I make Squid the default note-taking app on my Chromebook?
If your Chromebook supports an active stylus, such as the Pixelbook Pen or other Wacom EMR or AES pen, you should see a stylus icon in the bottom right next to the time. Tap this icon to open the Stylus tools menu, then tap the gear icon to go to the settings. Tap the dropdown menu next to Note-taking app and choose Squid.
Making Squid your default note-taking app in Chrome OS allows you to quickly create a new note in Squid using the default note background by tapping Create note from the Stylus tools menu. You can also create a new note containing a screenshot by choosing Annotate Image after capturing a region or the entire screen.
